As a Civil Construction Project Manager with over 20 years of construction experience – ranging from field experience to designing, managing, scheduling, budgeting, consulting, and constructing projects my experience would serve as an extreme value to a District that has major construction projects currently being performed and many more to in the future. The scopes of work I have been involved in are site development, roadway reconstruction, bridge replacement and utility replacement/installation. Having a District Representative with such an extensive construction background and understanding would be a benefit to all the residents going forward as we all look to maintain the beauty of North Stamford while making sure our city is being properly maintained and updated.

The roadways and bridges throughout Stamford & North Stamford specifically are in dire need of evaluation and attention. There needs to be a strong evaluation and prioritizing of these projects to ensure the safety of the residents of North Stamford. I would focus on these construction projects along with future maintenance to ensure the project meets its expected lifespan.

As with any growth, either in a municipality or business there will always be a certain level of "Growing Pains" and that seems to be what Stamford is experiencing. As a Member of the Board Of Representatives I would start with the analyzing the infrastructure in the area proposed to determine if the growth could be handled and if so, how much and what the direct impact would have on the traffic and the school system. Having three children in the Stamford Public School District I would not be willing to compromise our children's education with the possibility of overcrowding and overpopulating the district schools.

With the ongoing construction within Stamford, I would look propose the private developers contribute to the Trust Fund; it would be a fair amount that would not discourage developing but would also be a helpful contribution to the fund. Disbursement would be on a case-by-case basis ensuring that the funds are being provided to the families most in need. As a 10-year resident I want to ensure the City of Stamford remains an affordable option for both mine and my children's future.
