Walking. I walk all around Stamford every day. I have walked from the shores of Cove Island to the end of the Taconic Road at Banksville. There is no part of Stamford that I have not walked through.
Observing Stamford from the Street level has given me a unique perspective on how Stamford works. Seeing the back-up of cars on High Ridge Road trying to turn onto Vine tells me that we have infrastructure needs that need to be addressed now.
I find the level of honking in Stamford way too much. One issue is that drivers are not paying attention to the road. Light turns green, they are on the phones. Honking starts.
I wish more people could observe Stamford from walking. We have many diverse neighborhoods and much to see. I often talk about, Hidden in Plain Sight all the beautiful things to see and observe in Stamford

Zoning is going to be what I will be focusing on. Stamford 2035 shows that the mayor wants to grow the tax base by building a lot of multi-family houses in district 16 and other parts of Stamford
I know there has been some pullback on the zoning changes; however, I feel this is just the beginning.
