My background in Finance helps me find commonsense, bipartisan, and results-oriented solutions to the problems we face. I am also the father of two children currently attending Stamford Public Schools. I care deeply about my community and actively volunteer with Homefront, Our Lady Star of the Sea, and the Knights of Columbus. I want to be part of the solution in representing Stamford families' best interests in Hartford.
Energy/Environment, Education, and Public Safety. I’d get the Public Benefits charges off your electric bill. These are hidden taxes that should be funded from Hartford, not by Stamford families. CT needs to re-invest in reliable, affordable, and clean Nuclear Power. I also support infrastructure improvements at the WPCA to keep our Sound and Harbor beautiful.

Stamford Magnet Schools are the best-performing schools in Stamford. To receive funding from Hartford, they are required to take 25% of their student body from outside of Stamford. The schools struggle to meet this quota every year and it should be eliminated so that more Stamford families can attend Stamford's best public schools.

Stamford Police are some of the finest in this country, but they have major problems with the recruitment and retention of junior officers. I support prioritizing junior teachers and police officers in BMR (below market rate) apartment lottery.
Stamford does not have enough single-family homes. The demand vastly exceeds the supply causing housing prices to skyrocket. 8-30g incentivizes high-density housing. I acknowledge the need for deeply affordable housing, but we need similar incentives for Stamford residents to afford single-family homes.

While I believe 8-30g was well-intentioned, the result has been less local control over zoning and planning decisions. I'd support legislation that incentivizes the construction of single-family homes, condominiums, and townhomes. Homeownership is the most important path to wealth creation for Stamford families.
The public benefits charges should be removed from your electric bill. They represent unfunded liabilities and result in an effective tax on Stamford families. These taxes hurt working families the most. There is no reason for Stamford residents to be funding EV recharge stations.

CT been a leader in Nuclear Power for over 50 years. Nuclear Power generates over 40% of CT's electricity and 90% of CT's clean energy. We need to re-invest and expand CT's Nuclear Power generation. Investment in reliable, affordable, and clean energy will lead to energy independence and lower electric bills.
